In our male-dominated world and culture, women have always been the true stewards of memory.
Women have always kept the traditions of storytelling alive, enabling us to remember what being human means.
The Inky Path is an online hub where women writers from all over the world gather to write and share personal pieces, some of which later turn into published essays, poems, articles, and memoirs.
In the age of Trump, it has never been more essential for us to join forces and support each other so that more women own their voices and get their stories out of their minds and into the world without fear.
Because the stories and memories women bear and hand over from generation to generation have the power to heal us as individuals and communities. And because a woman’s words, when written, are truth made visible on paper, which starts spreading and reaching those who need to read them the most.
And it all starts with one woman, one story, one word.
The Buddha had said, “There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.”
The same is true when it comes to writing:
There are two mistakes one can make along the road to writing; not going all the way, and not starting.
